Picket fencing around a playground in Little Milton, Oxfordshire
We recently completed a picket fencing project around Little Milton Playground in Oxfordshire, a charming wooden play park nestled behind the local village shop.
The park offers numerous play opportunities for children, including seesaws, swings, and more, with a gate to prevent little escapees. We were pleased to replace the old playground fence with a new, durable picket fence.
The new picket fence not only enhances the park's aesthetic appeal, blending seamlessly with the scenic surroundings and fields, but also provides a safe and secure environment for the children to play.
As you can see from the photos, our installation team ensured the site was left clean and tidy as usual, making it almost as if we were never there.
Steel mesh fencing at RAF Benson Primary School, near Wallingford
We are very proud of the work we do for local authority properties in Oxfordshire, and a good example of this is the 868 steel mesh fencing and gate that we fitted recently at RAF Benson Primary School, near Wallingford.
Available in a wide range of heights, powder-coated RAL colours and gauges, welded security mesh fencing is a cost-effective and less intimidating alternative to steel palisade, making it perfect for schools and other commercial premises.
Safe top-mesh fencing for school in Chinnor, near Thame
Safe Top is a type of mesh fencing with a rolled top that minimises any exposed sharp edges at the top and bottom. This enhances its safety and gives it extra rigidity - just what's needed in a busy school play area!
Trentwood Fencing was recently pleased to help St. Andrew's Primary School in Chinnor, near Thame, with the installation of Safe Top Mesh Fencing within its grounds, and as you can see from the photos, our installation team left the grounds so clean and tidy, you'd hardly have known we were there at all!
Bow-top railings for Didcot Council
We are always proud to be entrusted with fencing contracts for local authorities, so we were delighted to install these galvanised bow-top railings on behalf of Didcot Town Council in Oxfordshire. Perfect for playgrounds, parks or other public areas, these railings will last for years to come. The tubular design is lighter than traditional solid steel, so they're lighter and faster to install, and more cost-effective, too.
Anti-trap bow top railings are another popular choice for fencing child-oriented play areas; the wider gap between the top hoop reduces the risk of a child getting their head, neck or limbs caught between the bars.
Please contact us for advice about appropriate fencing for children's play areas.
Picket fencing at a school in Cowley
Picket fencing is such a great choice for internal boundaries in a school environment - the warm, natural tones of these wooden panels are friendly and inviting; children can easily see through and over picket fencing, but it's a sturdy choice to mark the boundaries of footpaths, play areas or school buildings.
We have done lots of fencing work for this primary school in Cowley, near Oxford, and really enjoyed our visit when we were invited back recently to install the 1.5m picket fencing and gates seen in the photos below.
Metal railings at a school in Oxford
These metal railings and security mesh were fitted at a school in Oxford, just before the children returned to school after their summer holidays.
School fences take a lot of wear and tear, from crashing balls to crashing children! Regular inspection and maintenance should be part of the school calendar to keep your fences in top condition. If your school fences are sagging or broken, call Trentwood Fencing for a competitive quote to repair or replace them.
